Lake City Fire Rescue is a volunteer-based organization responding to structural fires, vehicle accidents, ice and swift water rescues, and wild land fires.
If you would like to join the fire department, please call the fire station at 970-944-2653.
Training meetings are held every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the fire station, corner of Second and Henson Streets.
Funds raised through donations are used to purchase groceries for the volunteers’ training meals (which they cook in the fire station); to pay for their annual volunteer appreciation dinner, and to buy the jackets, t-shirts and caps that you see them wearing.
